All you need to know about the KVPY exam
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY exam) is a national integration program in the field of Basic Science. The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) conducts this test annually.
Financially it is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in the year 1999 this fellowship program was successfully launched. It aims to encourage students to take up research careers in Science. Scholarships and contingency grants until the pre-PhD level are offered to those students who are eligible.
There will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the test. The test is performed for a total of three hours.
The KVPY 2021 exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on November 7 but it got postponed after the Madras HC raised concerns over regional languages. The KVPY exam date was then shifted to January 9, but now, it will be conducted on May 22.
The KVPY application form 2021 was released on July 12 and the last date to register for the same was extended from August 25 to September 6.
Eligibility Terms for KVPY 2021
KVPY Fellowships are awarded to Indian Nationals who are willing to continue their higher education in India. Students who intend to pursue / those pursuing a degree program under the Distance Education scheme/correspondence course of any university, are not eligible to apply.
As a one-time measure, the KVPY eligibility method has been updated due to the current situation due to COVID-19.
Given below are the revised requirements for students who need to meet to apply for KVPY 2021:
KVPY Stream SA for Class 11
Due to the current status of COVID-19, as a one-time rating, students who have passed the X Standard Board Examination and who are eligible to enroll in the XI Standard (Science Studies) during the 2021-22 academic year, are eligible to apply for skills. test.
The student must produce an XI class study certificate once he or she has been selected as a KVPY interim person. In addition, the relationships of students selected under this course will only apply if they enroll in Basic Science (B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) courses in the academic year. of 2023-24 after earning a minimum of 60% (50% of SC / ST & PWD) total in Science subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.
During the interim period of one year, they will be invited to the National Science Camp (Vijyoshi) and their travel and hospitality expenses will be met by KVPY.
KVPY Broadcast SX Class 12
Students enrolled in the XII Standard (Science Studies) for the 2021–22 academic year and wish to join the Basic Sciences degree program (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc. / Int. M.S.) for the 2022–23 academic year. Participation of students selected under this broadcast will only apply if they join undergraduate courses in Basic Science (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. KVPY Stream SB UG (Undergraduate)
Due to the current status of COVID-19, as a one-time measure, students who have passed Board XII Examination and are eligible to enrol in year 1 B. Sc./B.S./B. Statistics./B. Statistics./ Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. in the 2021–22 academic year they are eligible to appear in the eligibility test.
The student must produce a 1-year study certificate B. Sc./B.S./B. Statistics./B. Statistics./ Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. once they have been selected as KVPY temporary residents. In addition, the relationships of students selected under this broadcast will only apply if they join the Basic Science (B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) degree year of 2021-22 and obtained at least 60% marks (50% of SC / ST & PWD) combined in Science subjects in year 1 of the B.Sc./B.S./B. Statistics./B. Statistics./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.
