West Bengal Police- Sub Inspector(SI) Syllabus 2022

West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) is going to release the official notification for the requirement of a West Bengal Sub-Inspector. Aspirants who want to sit in the exam and want to clear the exam should start their preparation now. There are three levels of selection in WB Police SI; Preliminary Exam, PET/ PST, Final Competitive Exam, and Personality Test.

A preliminary exam is a multiple type exam which consists of questions from General Studies, Logical & Analytical reasoning, and Arithmetic.

General studies weightage is 100 Marks, the weightage of logical and analytical reasoning is 50 Marks and the weightage of numerical and mental ability is 50 Marks. The total weightage of the preliminary exam is 200 Marks.

West Bengal Police Physical Efficiency Tests

Male candidates of unarmed and armed forces both have to pass a test which includes an 800 m race within 3 minutes. 

West Bengal Police Final Competitive Exam

This exam will involve 3 papers. Paper 1 involves general studies and arithmetic questions. Paper 2 consists of questions from an English subject. Paper 3 from Hindi/ Urdu/ Bengali and Nepali.

The last exam is a personal interview. The candidates who score good marks in  Preliminary Exam, PET/ PST, and Final Competitive Exam will be eligible for a personal interview. The total marks of the personal interview are 30 marks and to pass this exam a candidate has to obtain 8 marks. 

West Bengal Police Subject Wise Syllabus

General Knowledge include Politics, Economics, Science, Inventions and Discoveries, 

Current Events, History, Culture and Art.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning include Statements and Conclusions, Similarities and Differences, Networks and Directions, Semantic Analogy, Ordering and Sequencing, Relationship Concepts, Space Visualisation, Classification, Coding and Decoding, and Embedded Figures.

Arithmetic includes questions from  Ratio and Proportion, Time and Distance, Tables and Graphs, Linear Equations, Profit and Loss, Decimals, Polygons, Fractions, Square Roots, Percentage, Time and Work, Trigonometry, and Identities.

The English section involves questions on Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structuring, Idioms, and Correct Use of Language.

Indian Languages (Hindi/ Urdu/ Bengali and Nepali) section consists of questions from Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structuring, Correct Usage of Language, and Idioms.
